Message from St. Mary’s
In light of the announcement from our Government last weekend and following Diocesan Office recommendations, we have decided to once again celebrate Funeral Masses and Baptisms. These will follow strict condition in relations to numbers attending and the celebration of the liturgies.
Funerals: Bishop Larry has give permission for Funeral Masses to resume. We are advised to restrict numbers attending (max 10). The community can still participate via webcam. Funeral Masses will take place at 11am and replace the 10am morning Mass should there be a Funeral Mass on that giving morning.
Sacrament of Baptism will resume from next Sunday and every Sunday at 11am until further notice. There will be a maximum of two babies per Baptism ceremony with restricted numbers per family. (Parents, siblings of baby and Godparents)
Please inform Parish Office via email in relation to Baptisms and your Undertaker ref funerals.
Care of our Graveyards. Owing to Covid 19 restrictions, and the recent spell of good weather, the growth in our cemeteries has accelerated. We would ask if possible when caring for your own family graves that you would also consider caring for a neighbouring grave that may otherwise may be neglected during these times of Covid restrictions. It is important to keep tidy these sacred places in memory of ourdeparted loved ones. Please respect Social Distancing Guidelines while carrying out this task.
